Grand Teton Photo Trip
Snake River Overlook BW
Last night I got back from a 4 day trip to the Grand Tetons. To say it was incredible is an understatement. God blessed me with great weather, superb travel arrangements, and some of the most incredible scenery I've ever seen. In the days to come I will be adding pictures from the trip in my galleries and also will post a new Photo Journey article as well.
The above photo is a tribute to Ansel Adams, who took a picture in this exact spot over 50 years ago and helped America realize what a great treasure it had out west.

Band of Brothers
Picture 1
I'm forgoing my usual picture post to take a moment to tell you about this amazing movie. Band of Brothers, a 10 part mini-series, came out in 2001 on HBO. Since I don't have HBO I never got to see it. I was in our local library and noticed that they had the series on DVD for borrowing. For the past 5 weeks or so I've been watching this series - a couple episodes each week. Forget everything you think of when you hear "mini-series." This is a 120 million dollar big budget production. The directing, acting, production, musical score, etc. are all top notch. But more importantly, you get a glimpse of what the 101st Airborne went through from training to the wars end. As each episode would end I would shake my head in both awe and horror thinking about what these men went through. And to make it really moving, each episode starts with the actual surviving soldiers of the 101st recounting what it was like being there.
If you've never seen it, rent it from Netflix, or check your local library. It will change you. I know it did me.

Siskiyou Kitty
Siskiyou face
Say "hello" to our good-for-nothing kitty cat. We recently put "soft paws" on her claws to keep her from ruining our carpet and furniture. Several of them have fallen off her already. Spraying her with a spray bottle doesn't seem to detract her from putting her claws into our sofa. Anyone want a free cat?

Jillian and Friends

Nikon D70, 24-85mm AF-S, SB600 bounced off ceiling.
Jillian pretty much set up this scene herself. She loves playing with her blanket and her animals. I couldn't resist firing off a few shots. This was my favorite.
That hair is out of control!! : )
